Lourdes, a Spanish woman, lived more than 30 years trapped in a marriage where psychological and verbal abuse were part of her daily life, hidden beneath a façade of luxury and apparent stability. She endured in silence, hoping her husband would change, until the abuse escalated into physical violence and death threats. That painful breaking point led her to make the brave decision to divorce and reclaim her freedom.

Rosa, also from Spain, suffered sexual abuse from the age of four at the hands of her maternal grandfather. The most devastating part was discovering that other women in her family had gone through the same ordeal—and that her mother, despite knowing, did not protect her. After years of therapy, a legal battle, and an internal struggle against guilt and shame, she transformed her pain into strength. Today, she is a psychologist who supports women going through similar experiences, becoming a light in the darkness.

Respect is a tribute to them and to all women who, when faced with violence, choose to rise and reclaim their dignity.
