Galerie Portraits is an international curatorial platform dedicated to portraiture as a living art form — presenting museum-quality original works and strictly limited editions by contemporary artists whose practices engage with identity, memory and the human presence.
Galerie Portraits was conceived as a curatorial proposition: that the portrait — historically the most intimate and demanding of all pictorial forms — remains one of the most urgent artistic gestures of our time. In an age of surface and speed, the deliberate act of looking at another human being with sustained attention is radical.
We do not present portraiture as nostalgia. We present it as resistance — to the erasure of identity, to the anonymity of the image-saturated present, to the forgetting that time imposes on lives that deserved to be seen.
Every work shown by Galerie Portraits is chosen for its psychological depth, technical excellence, and capacity to endure — not merely as an object of beauty, but as a bearer of meaning. We collect memory. We preserve presence.
Séfora Camazano works at the intersection of photography, digital painting and hand-finished intervention — a practice that resists easy categorisation and refuses the borders between documentation and transformation, between memory and invention.
Her process begins with the photographic act — but does not end there. Each image is subsequently worked through layers of digital painting, tonal intervention, and in selected works, the application of gold leaf by hand. The result is neither photograph nor painting: it occupies the charged space between the two, where the skin of the subject becomes a surface for emotional and social narrative.
Her work has been exhibited at Art Basel (Zürich), Westin Valencia, Biblioteca de la Dona (Valencia), Palma de Mallorca, and in private and institutional contexts across Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. She founded Galerie Portraits as a natural extension of her practice: a platform not simply for selling art, but for building a sustained relationship between significant works and the collectors who understand them.
Unique works that will never be reproduced. Each original is accompanied by full provenance documentation, a signed certificate of authenticity, and the artist's personal commitment to the work.

We believe the relationship between a collector and their gallery should be built on trust, knowledge and genuine shared taste — not on sales pressure, manufactured urgency or the performance of exclusivity. Our approach is quiet, personal and built for the long term.
Whether you are acquiring your first work of art or adding to a mature collection, we offer the same level of care, transparency and personal engagement. Every question is welcome. Every enquiry is answered personally.
Collecting art is not ownership alone — it is the preservation of meaning. Every work we acquire insists: this life was here. This emotion was real. This moment deserves to remain.Galerie Portraits · Curatorial Statement
